Position Summary

The Department of Pediatrics and the Herman B Wells Center for Pediatric Research is recruiting for a faculty position at the Assistant Professor level (research track). The applicant needs to have a strong track record in research on hemophilia, gene therapy, and immunology, and is expected to take on a leading role in an established program in immune tolerance induction in hemophilia. The lab is particularly interested in individuals with a background in hemophilia A and B and regulatory T cell research, using gene therapy-based approaches and relevant animal models. Strong technical skills in these areas are essential. The applicant is expected to also develop an independent research focus in the area of immunotherapy and immune tolerance applications and apply for extramural funding. Laboratory space will be in the Herman B Wells Center for Pediatric Research. New faculty will be provided with a start-up package and join an active multi-disciplinary research community with a strong collaborative atmosphere.

Basic Qualifications

Successful candidates will be a PhD with 1 to 6 years of postdoc research experience.
