A postdoctoral position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Armin Blesch in the Department of Neurological Surgery (https://snri.medicine.iu.edu/people/primary-investigators/armin-blesch-ph-d/) to study the role of neuronal plasticity and activity in the development and maintenance of central neuropathic pain in mouse models of spinal cord injury.

Compensation is dependent upon qualifications. Candidates are expected to start mid 2018. Review of applicants will continue until positions are filled.
Applicants should submit a cover letter, complete curriculum vitae including previous research experience and list of publications and addresses of three references.

Basic Qualifications

Candidates who just finished their degree in neuroscience or related field, or already have postdoctoral experience are welcome to apply. Successful candidates should be able to perform self-directed work, possess excellent collaborative skills and demonstrated experience in oral and written communication. Expertise in animal models of spinal cord injury, mechanisms of pain, or transgenic mouse models would be advantageous.
