Position Summary

Assistant Professor of Social Psychology
Beginning August 2018
The School of Social Sciences invites applications for a tenure track assistant professor. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability and interest in teaching introductory psychology and a two-semester research methods/statistics course.
Teaching responsibilities will include social psychology and other courses in the individual’s area of specialty. Preference will be given to candidates who can also teach one of the following courses: personality, group dynamics, or media psychology.

IU Southeast is one of eight student centered campuses of Indiana University. Located in New Albany, about five miles from Louisville, Kentucky, the community engaged campus has approximately 6000 students. Basic Qualifications

Qualifications include:
Ph.D. preferred but ABDs considered. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to develop a research program that can be sustained at an undergraduate institution where there are possibilities for research support. Involvement and mentorship of undergraduate students in research is expected.
Teaching experience is preferred and candidates should be firmly committed to high quality undergraduate teaching. Some teaching of evening classes is required.
