Job Description

The Indiana University East School of Nursing and Health Sciences is seeking applicants for three Assistant Professor (tenure track or clinical rank) and/or Lecturer in Nursing positions. Opportunity to teach in the BSN, RN to BSN mobility option, and MSN programs. Positions begin fall 2018. Candidates for all full-time faculty positions must demonstrate a strong desire to excel in teaching and provide ongoing support for student success, in and out of the classroom, interacting with a diverse student and faculty community. Candidates for tenure-track positions must also have an interest in building a sustainable program of research, scholarship and/or creative activity. These positions are for the academic year, tenure-track or long-term lecturer position.

Basic Qualifications

Required:

  • Earned doctorate in nursing or a related field required for assistant professor; master’s degree in nursing required for lecturer position; convertible lecturer position available to those in doctoral study.

  • Eligibility for licensure in Indiana required.

  • Minimum of 3 years of practice as a registered nurse (RN).

  • Background in medical-surgical and/or population health nursing practice preferred.

  • Experience as a nursing educator as well as certification as a Certified Nurse Educator (CNE) considered a plus.
