Position Summary

Indiana University School of Nursing invites applications for a Clinical Assistant/Associate Professor or Assistant/Associate Professor available to start August 1, 2018. The Clinical Assistant/Associate Professor or Assistant/Associate Professor is a full-time, 10-month academic position in the School of Nursing, which is a part of the College of Health and Human Services at Indiana University Northwest. The Clinical Assistant/Associate Professor is a non-tenure track position; the Assistant/Associate Professor is a tenure-track position.

Responsibilities for the positions will include teaching graduate didactic and clinical nursing courses; assisting with curricular development, implementation, and evaluation of MSN Program; functioning as a mentor to students in the graduate program; community service/faculty governance activities; as well as conducting independent and/or collaborative research (required for tenure-track position; encouraged in other ranks). Research start-up funds and summer support may be available for tenure-track faculty. Commitment to the values of diversity and inclusion is essential. Ten-month appointment with opportunity for summer teaching (based on availability).

Basic Qualifications

Required Qualifications: FNP-BC with a graduate degree in nursing. Licensed in the state of Indiana or eligible for endorsement. DNP or PhD in Nursing or related field required for tenure-track position; ABD candidates will be considered for tenure-track position, with expectation to finish within 1 year. In case the DNP or PhD is not finished within 1 year, the position converts to clinical rank. The ability to conduct independent and/or collaborative research is required for tenure-track positions.

Preferred Qualifications: Previous teaching experience preferred. DNP/PhD preferred for Clinical Track.
