Position Summary

Indiana University School of Medicine is seeking excellent faculty for multiple positions as scientist, clinical or tenure-track faculty within the Genomic Medicine pillar of the Precision Health Initiative.
Goals of the Precision Health Initiative
• Address major and large-scale health problems facing humanity through multidisciplinary teams of extraordinary, innovative researchers
• The $120 million investment in Precision Health is being used to recruit approximately 40 new, full-time faculty members on the Indiana University campuses in Bloomington and Indianapolis
• Creation of new facilities, centers, and user platforms, including new gene editing and sequencing cores at the IUSM, and a GMP facility to produce cellular therapeutics
• Combine these funds with other IUSM resources to significantly expand the scope of this initiative

Basic Qualifications

Academic Tracks and Requirements
All positions require a terminal degree in a related discipline.
Scientist-track
• The best option if you are solely focused on research
• Offers Scientist and Research Professor titles
• Research training, publication record, and current or potential extramural funding will be deciding factors in track and rank
Clinical-track
• Track designed for full-time clinician/educators
• Strong commitment to service and teaching
Tenure-track
• Dedication to all three areas of the tripartite mission: service, teaching, and research
• Excellent research credentials and high impact publications required
