Position Summary

The Department of Mechanical and Energy Engineering, Purdue School of Engineering and Technology at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI) invites applications for a tenure-track position.

Basic Qualifications

The successful candidate is expected to establish and sustain an externally sponsored research program in solid mechanics, preferably in one of the following focus areas: dynamics, system modeling and simulation, robotics, design, biomechanics, or advanced manufacturing, as well as teach graduate and undergraduate level courses and supervise graduate students (M.S. and Ph.D.)

Applicants must hold a Ph.D. degree in mechanical or closely related engineering field and show promise for excellence in both research and teaching. Exceptional candidates with established research and teaching credentials may be considered for a senior faculty position.
