Position Summary

A cardiovascular developmental biology research lab at the Wells Center for Pediatric Research is looking for a highly-motivated Research Assistant Professor, who has extensive training in developmental biology, stem cell biology, and molecular genetics. Candidates who have experience of analyzing cardiac formation in genetically engineered mice and experience of generating Ipsc from human cells are encouraged to apply. The major projects for the Research Assistant Professor are to determine the role of multiple signaling pathways in cardiac development and contribution to the pathogenesis of congenital heart defects using genetic and biochemical approaches. In addition, the Research Assistant Professor is expected to interact with postdoctoral fellows and graduate students in the lab and write fellowships/grant.

Basic Qualifications

Candidates must be a PhD, MD or MD/PhD with skills in developmental biology, biochemistry, molecular biology, mouse genetics, and stem cell research.
