Position Summary

The Indiana University School of Social Work (IUSSW) invites applications for three (3) open-rank tenure-track faculty positions on the Indianapolis campus, specializing in any of the following areas: Health and Interprofessional Education; Children, Youth, and Families; or Mental Health and Addictions.

These positions are ten-month appointments with responsibility for teaching, research, and service. Successful candidates will be expected to teach face-to-face and online across the BSW and MSW curricula as well as occasional classes in IU-partner campus locations. The anticipated start date is August 2018.

Salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.

The Indiana University School of Social Work, headquartered in Indianapolis, has a long and distinguished history that began in 1911. The IUSSW offers the BSW program, MSW program, and the PhD program in Social Work, along with the AS and BS programs in Labor Studies. The School has approximately 110 full-time faculty members on seven campuses and enrolls almost 1,900 students in its programs statewide.

Basic Qualifications

Essential qualifications include an earned doctorate in social work or a related field, an MSW degree from a CSWE-accredited program, and at least two years of post-MSW practice experience. Successful candidates should have a well-articulated research and publication agenda as well as demonstrated interest in seeking external grants to support scholarly activities.

Candidates for the title of Associate or Full Professor must demonstrate a history of external grants and scholarly publications to merit appointment at this level.
