Position Summary

The Finance Department of the Kelley School of Business, Indiana University is seeking individuals to fill non-tenure track faculty positions beginning with the fall 2018 term. The rank of these positions is open depending on experience and will be at the Clinical or Lecturer classification.

Basic Qualifications

Appointments at the clinical rank require a PhD, or doctoral degree completion by August 2018, in Finance or related area. Appointments at the lecturer rank require a minimum of a master’s degree in Finance or related area at the time of hire. Teaching duties of 18 credit hours a year will be primarily at the undergraduate level but may include graduate level courses.

Additional Qualifications

For one of these positions, significant responsibilities will include the support or coordination of the Investment Banking Workshop. Workshops comprise a set of dedicated academic and career preparation activities aimed at developing skills and knowledge for success in specific careers. These activities include the instruction of students on the unique demands, skills, and characteristics of the relevant industry; recruiting high caliber students interested in such careers to the Kelley School of Business; mentoring and providing career counseling; developing and maintain relationships with corporate recruiters, alums and sponsors and helping students secure internships and full-time positions in the relevant area. It is highly desirable for faculty assigned to such roles to have relevant industry experience.
