Position Summary

The Division of Allied Health Sciences at Indiana University Kokomo is seeking an Assistant Professor of Sport and Recreation Management. This is a full-time, 10 month, tenure track position to begin August, 2018. Applicants should be able to demonstrate teaching experience and specialization in sport and recreation management. Courses may include, but are not limited to, sport law, sport marketing, ethics in sport management, sport information, facility management, sport management policy, and related areas of SRM. The successful candidate will teach three undergraduate courses per semester with the ability to teach courses in the SRM core. Courses may include, but are not limited to, sport law, sport marketing, ethics in sport management, sport information, facility management, sport management policy, and related areas of SRM. The successful candidate will teach a minimum of one online courses each semester. The candidate may be able to teach in the summer sessions for additional pay. Evidence of scholarly work in the field. The successful candidate will be able to help place students in high-quality internships. Preference will be given to candidates with previous teaching and demonstrated experiences in sport and recreation management.

Basic Qualifications

Candidates should have an earned doctorate in sport management, recreation management or closely related field. ABD candidates who earn a doctorate by September 2019 will be considered. Applicants of any rank are encouraged to apply.
