Position Summary

A postdoctoral opening is presently available in Prof. Yan Yu’s laboratory in the Department of Chemistry at Indiana University, Bloomington. The group conducts research to quantify and control immune cell behavior with novel materials and chemical approaches. The successful candidate for this specific opening will investigate endosome signaling in immune cells. More information about the group can be found at http://www.indiana.edu/~yulab/.

The initial appointment for this position will be for 12 months. Additional 12-month extension will be available based on performance and/or availability of funds.

A competitive salary along with a benefits package will be offered.

Basic Qualifications

Candidates are required to have a Ph.D. in biochemistry, immunology, biophysics, or any related discipline.

Additional Qualifications

Research experience in endocytosis and cell signaling is required. A strong background in immunology and quantitative biophysical techniques is strongly desirable. Excellent communication skills and first-author publications on related topics in peer-reviewed journals are required.
