Position Summary

The School of Physical Education and Tourism Management (PETM) at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI) invites applications for the position of Lecturer (12-month appointment) in Nutrition.

The responsibilities of the position will include teaching undergraduate Nutrition courses and Kinesiology-related courses (online), serving the department, school, campus, and profession.

Review of applications will begin November 15th and applications will be accepted until the position is filled. The ideal target starting date is January 1, 2018. Basic Qualifications

Applicants must have a Master’s degree in foods, nutrition, exercise science, or Kinesiology (or related area). Must be ‘Quality Matters’ online certified.

80% teaching undergraduate classes
20% service to the department, school and profession

Additional Qualifications

1. Online teaching experience.
2. Focused practical training in foods and nutrition science.
3. Nutrition and Kinesiology teaching experience.
4. A demonstrated understanding of and sensitivity to the institution’s populations, including but not limited to students and employees with disabilities and from diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds.

Preferred experience in:
1. Experience in general education learning outcomes assessment.
2. Curriculum development experience.
3. Experience working with faculty.
4. Significant industry network.

Salary and Rank $48,000-$52,000
