Position Summary

The Department of World Languages & Cultures at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor of Spanish, with expertise in Spanish Linguistics (Applied) to begin August 1, 2018.

Teaching duties will include undergraduate B.A. courses and graduate courses in the Master of Arts in the Teaching of Spanish.

Basic Qualifications

Minimum requirements: Ph.D. in Spanish linguistics or in a related field of Spanish or linguistics; native or near-native proficiency in Spanish; and evidence or promise of outstanding research, teaching, and service accomplishment.

Additional Qualifications

A specialty in Second Language Acquisition, Second Language Teaching and Learning or Teacher Education in Spanish is most desirable.
