Position Summary

Early Childhood teachers work cooperatively with a co-teacher and are responsible for the care and education of young
children, ages 6 weeks thru 2, or 3-5. Teachers are responsible for creating a warm and nurturing relationship with each child, designing an environment that stimulates curiosity, and utilizing a dynamic child-centered curriculum that is grounded in hands-on exploration and play. Using observation and assessment tools, the Early Childhood Teacher documents each child’s growth and learning in relation to his or her developmental level and the Indiana Early Learning Foundations.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field.

Formal experience working with young children ages birth thru 5 years is required.
