Position Summary

The Jacobs School of Music seeks candidates for a two‐year full‐time post-doctoral visiting position in musicology for the academic years 2018‐2020. The resident scholar will teach one course per semester during three semesters, and two courses during one semester; conduct an active program of research during the appointment, resulting in the submission of proposals to research conferences, the submission of articles to academic journals, or other scholarly projects; attend two conferences per year; deliver a colloquium to the department each year; and participate in other departmental activities as assigned by the chair of the department.

Basic Qualifications

A completed Ph.D. degree in music is required. Candidates must have received the Ph.D. from an institution other than Indiana University no more than five years prior to their appointment.

Additional Qualifications
Salary and Rank Visiting Assistant Professor; salary is $42,700 with an annual $2,000 research and travel budget, and eligibility for the health and retirement benefits available to all full‐time faculty.
