Position Summary

A hematopoietic stem cell research lab at the Wells Center for Pediatric Research is looking for a highly-motivated Assistant Research Professor, who has extensive training in stem cell biology and cancer biology. Candidates who have experience of analyzing hematopoiesis in genetically engineered mice are encouraged to apply. The major projects for the Assistant Research Professor are to determine the role of a tumor suppressor in hematopoietic stem cell aging and the pathogenesis of myelodysplastic syndromes using genetic and biochemical approaches. In addition, the Assistant Research Professor is expected to interact with postdoctoral fellows and graduate students in the lab and write fellowships.

Basic Qualifications

Candidates must be a PhD, MD or MD/PhD with skills in biochemistry, molecular biology, and/or stem cell research.
