Position Summary

The Department of Anesthesia at Indiana University School of Medicine is seeking full-time Anesthetists to practice at IU Health University Hospital and Eskenazi Hospital. Successful candidates must be highly motivated, and will enjoy working closely with faculty/instructors and learners. The Anesthetist will work under the supervision of a physician Anesthesiologist and will administer anesthesia and anesthesia related care in accordance with a written practice protocol consistent with the American Society of Anesthesiologists Care Team Model. This position will also serve as a faculty member of the IU School of Medicine at the level of lecturer and will host learners in obtaining clinical knowledge and experience. Basic Qualifications

1. Must have graduated with a master’s degree from a CAAHEP accredited Anesthesiologist Assistant Program.
2. Must have passed the Certifying Examination for Anesthesiologist Assistants or the CDQ examination (administered by NCCAA in collaboration with the National Board of Medical Examiners) and hold a current certification.
3. Must be current with CME credits as required by NCCAA timeline.
4. Must hold a current ACLS and PALS certifications.
