Position Summary

The Department of Criminal Justice at Indiana University South Bend is seeking qualified applicants for a full-time, 10-month Lecturer in Criminal Justice beginning August 14, 2018. The standard teaching load is 24 credits per year. Successful applicants will be expected to demonstrate a commitment to quality instruction, academic advising, and willingness to engage in university service activities.

IU South Bend is the third largest campus of Indiana University. The Department of Criminal Justice is in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences and offers a balanced program for 200 active criminal justice majors. With a focus on field practice and scientific research, we prepare students for a wide range of careers in criminal justice as well as post-graduate study.

Basic Qualifications

- Lecturers must have at least a Master’s Degree in Criminal Justice, Criminology, or a closely-related discipline.
- Applicants with a PhD, JD, or other terminal degree are also encouraged to apply.
- All areas of expertise in Criminal Justice will be considered.
- A commitment to quality undergraduate instruction, academic advising, and service is required.
