Position Summary

A full-time (4 or 5 days per week) clinical-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor is available in the Department of Oral Pathology, Medicine and Radiology at Indiana University School of Dentistry.

Candidates with expertise in oral and maxillofacial radiology and a strong commitment to teaching are invited to apply for the position. The primary responsibilities include didactic, pre-clinical and clinical teaching in pre-doctoral and post-doctoral (graduate) radiology courses.

Additional expectations include production of scholarship that supports promotion and engagement in committee service at the department, school and university levels. Opportunities for intramural radiology private practice are available.

The vision of the Department of Oral Pathology, Medicine and Radiology is to be a nationally recognized center of excellence and referral unit for exemplary education, patient care services and research in oro-facial diagnostic sciences. This position is expected to significantly contribute toward continuous enhancement of didactic and clinical curriculum of oral and maxillofacial radiology.

The department maintains and promotes a collegial environment. Various programs are in place at the department and school levels to provide career development support to new faculty members.

Basic Qualifications

The successful candidate must have either a DDS, DMD or an international equivalent and have graduated from an ADA CODA-accredited specialty program in Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology. Having a graduate degree such as a Master or PhD will be advantageous.

In addition, certification by or eligibility for the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology and eligibility for Indiana dental licensure are required.
