Position Summary

The School of Business invites applications for a full time, 10-month faculty position as a Lecturer in Business. The position requires an academic year teaching load of 24 semester hours primarily, at the undergraduate level. Course load will principally include courses that comprise the Freshmen Learning Community and the professional development/career coaching courses. Other courses that may be part of teaching responsibilities may include management, marketing or business law courses depending on the applicant’s qualifications.

One of eight campuses of Indiana University, Indiana University Kokomo is a comprehensive non-residential campus located 50 miles north of Indianapolis in Kokomo, Indiana, a city with a population of approximately 55,000. Committed to student success, the campus serves approximately 3,100 students from a 14 county area in north central Indiana. IU Kokomo has approximately 260 faculty and staff. Basic Qualifications

Candidates must hold a minimum of an MBA from an AACSB accredited business school. Five years of professional experience involving careering coaching, mentoring, and job placement is also required. Candidates being considered for teaching law courses must have a JD from an accredited law school but it is not required for the position otherwise. Preference will be given to candidates with a record of excellent teaching and a commitment to student learning and professional development
