Director, Division of Oral Maxillofacial Radiology

A full-time position at the rank of either associate or full professor on either clinical-track or tenure-track is available in the Department of Oral Pathology, Medicine and Radiology at Indiana University School of Dentistry. Candidates with expertise in oral and maxillofacial radiology and a strong commitment to teaching are invited to apply. Primary responsibilities include leadership oversight of the didactic, pre-clinical and clinical teaching in pre-doctoral, clinical dental hygiene and post-doctoral (graduate) radiology courses.

Additional expectations include 1) development of a program of scholarship that supports promotion and, as applicable, tenure and 2) service as Director of the Cone Beam Imaging Facility as well as committee service at the department, school and university levels. Opportunities for imaging intramural private practice are available.

The vision of the Department of Oral Pathology, Medicine and Radiology is to be a nationally recognized center of excellence and referral unit for exemplary education, patient care services and research in oro-facial diagnostic sciences. The department maintains and promotes a collegial environment. Various programs are in place at the department and school levels to provide career development support to new faculty members.

Basic Qualifications

Qualifications: The candidate must have a DDS or equivalent degree and have graduated from a CODA accredited specialty program in Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology. In addition, eligibility for the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology and Indiana dental licensure are required. Rank and salary will be based on the candidate’s experience and credentials. The successful applicant may be appointed on the clinical or tenure track, dependent upon experience, academic credentials and interest.
