Position Summary

The Department of Statistics in the College of Arts and Sciences at Indiana University invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the rank of assistant professor.
Applicants should have an active research program that complements the department’s existing strengths in machine learning, computational statistics, and Bayesian inference, as well as a commitment to teaching excellence and department service.

Created in 2006, IU’s Department of Statistics currently offers both graduate and undergraduate degree programs and maintains the Indiana Statistical Consulting Center. The usual teaching load for core faculty members is 3 courses per year. More information about the department can be found at its website: http://www.stat.indiana.edu.

Basic Qualifications

A Ph.D. in statistics, computer science, or a related field is required.
