Position Summary

The Evolution, Ecology, and Behavior (EEB) program in the Department of Biology at Indiana University Bloomington (IUB) invites applications for an ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR, tenure-track, in the area of Invasive Species Ecology. This position is part of a multi-million dollar ’Prepared for Environmental Change’ (PfEC) initiative (, one of Indiana University’s interdisciplinary Grand Challenges formed to tackle major problems facing Indiana, the nation, and the world. We seek a colleague with expertise in the study of range shifts of invasive and native species, using a diverse toolkit that includes strong spatial skills. Relevant research foci include mechanisms of invasion, models of spread, and impacts of invasive species on native species and ecosystems. The PfEC initiative offers diverse opportunities and internal funding for collaboration with colleagues across the sciences, social sciences, and humanities at IUB and affiliated campuses.

Basic Qualifications

Applicants must hold a PhD with relevant postdoctoral and/or faculty experience. We prefer candidates hired at an Associate Professor level but will consider others in exceptional cases.
