Department of Medical and Molecular Genetics

The Department of Medical and Molecular Genetics at Indiana University School of Medicine and the Stark Neurosciences Research Institute is seeking applicants for a position at the Scientist level. This individual will lead new efforts to develop a gene editing core on campus. Extensive experience using CRISPR/Cas9 is essential. In addition, experience in mammalian cell and embryo culture as well as mammalian transgene expression is preferred. The applicant will collaborate with diverse research teams and must be able to work effectively in a team setting. In addition, the applicant will develop and integrate new genome editing technologies into the core as they are developed within the core and by the field. Finally, the applicant must be able to establish projects and priorities independently. The position requires a PhD degree in biology, genetics, or a related area.
