Position Summary

The Department of Pediatrics, Cardiovascular Genetics Research Group within the Herman B Wells Center for Pediatric Research, is looking for an Assistant, Associate or Full Professor. CV Genetics is a program dedicated to improving the diagnosis and management of cardiac disease through novel research and multidisciplinary clinical care. The program focuses on the genetic and developmental basis of pediatric heart disease. The areas of interest are disorders of cardiac function (cardiomyopathies) and structure (congenital heart disease).

Basic Qualifications

Successful candidates can be a PhD, MD or MD/PhD and will be expected to establish innovative, externally funded research programs. The positions come with generous start-up packages, outstanding laboratory space and protected time for research-related activities. Laboratory space will be in the Herman B Wells Center for Pediatric Research (http://www.wellscenter.iupui.edu/); which has ongoing collaborative programs in Molecular Oncology and Experimental Therapeutics, Cardiac Developmental Biology, Diabetes, Hematologic Malignancies and Stem Cell Biology, Pulmonary Inflammation, Asthma and Allergic Diseases and Infectious Disease and Global Health.
