Position Summary

The Department of Emergency Medicine at Indiana University School of Medicine (IUSM) is seeking qualified candidates to lead and develop a health services research (HSR) section within the Division of Research. This is an open rank scientist track faculty position.

The qualified applicant will have a doctoral degree (MD, PhD, or equivalent) with the requisite experience and training to continue a successful career and/or to build a first rate Health Services Research Division. A generous support package will ensure the candidates transition and continued success.

We offer a wealth of opportunities for HSR. Our affiliation with the Regenstrief Institute allows for unprecedented access to large statewide databases, including over 90 hospitals. As part of IU Health, the largest health care system within the state, allows for additional opportunities.

The Indiana University School of Medicine, Department of Emergency Medicine provides comprehensive pre-hospital and emergency care at three, tertiary, level 1 trauma centers: two adult and one pediatric, seeing nearly 250,000 visits annually. Located in Indianapolis (the 12th largest city in the US), IUSM has nine campuses across the state and educates the largest medical student body in the U.S.
