The Department of Pediatrics, Hematologic Malignancies and Stem Cell Biology Research Group within the Herman B Wells Center for Pediatric Research, is looking for an Assistant, Associate or Full Professor. The Hematologic Malignancies and Stem Cell Biology research program at the Wells Center is focused on comparing molecular and cellular regulation of stem and progenitor cell populations in hematopoietic, endothelial, and mesenchymal lineages using studies performed in human, murine, and other species. Stem cell biology in the context of development, homeostasis, and leukemic transformation is examined to understand the genetic basis for normal lineage specification and maintenance.
Successful candidates can be a PhD, MD or MD/PhD and will be expected to establish innovative, externally funded research programs. The positions come with generous start-up packages, outstanding laboratory space and protected time for research-related activities. Laboratory space will be in the Herman B Wells Center for Pediatric Research (http://www.wellscenter.iupui.edu/); which has ongoing collaborative programs in molecular oncology and experimental therapeutics, cardiac developmental biology, diabetes, pulmonary inflammation/asthma & allergic diseases, cardiovascular genetics and infectious disease and global health.
