Position Summary


INDIANAPOLIS, INDIANA. The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the Indiana University School of Medicine invites applications for a faculty position in the Histotechnology Certificate and A.S Degree Program. This is a full-time, clinical track, 12-month faculty appointment. The HT program is a NAACLS-accredited, distance education-based program offering its non-traditional training in Histotechnology both nationally and internationally. Faculty facilities for teaching are located in Indianapolis, IN. Primary responsibilities will be the coordination and teaching of HT students in courses with occasional instruction of residents and fellows. This candidate will be involved in recruitment and admissions processes for the HTP students and will be expected to maintain involvement in professional societies with attendance and leadership at the national level. Depending on the candidate’s interests, opportunities are available for research, publications, and other teaching or scholarly activities.

Basic Qualifications

The candidate must have HT (ASCP) or HTL (ASCP) or equivalent certification, a graduate degree, and experience in teaching. Salary and title are commensurate with education and experience. Indiana University offers competitive benefits packages.
