Indiana University School of Dentistry invites applications for the position of Associate Dean for Education. The administrative expectations of the position will include, but are not limited to, providing senior academic administrative leadership for the school in all academic matters; making recommendations to the Dean for enhancements in all aspects of the dental education programs; ensuring all School of Dentistry education programs operate in such a manner as to maintain full accreditation by the Commission on Dental Accreditation; coordinating the preparation and self-study process to undergo pre-doctoral accreditation; review, develop and administer School of Dentistry academic policies; review, modify and implement dental curriculum for the teaching programs at all levels – certificate, undergraduate, professional and graduate; provide administrative support for the Curriculum Assessment Committee; promote research, innovation and scholarly publication focusing on the educational mission and related technologies as developed by or carried out in the IU School of Dentistry.

Basic Qualifications

At a minimum, candidates must have an earned doctorate (preferably DDS/DMD), at least ten years progressive administrative experience and be eligible for appointment with tenure at the level of associate professor or above. Rank and salary will be commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications, experience and credentials.
