Position Summary

The Jacobs School of Music seeks candidates for a senior tenure-track faculty position in Harp. The successful candidate will have an extensive and successful background as a performer and teacher, will be able to work effectively with faculty colleagues, and will be able to inspire very gifted students in a highly competitive and professionally-oriented educational environment. Responsibilities:
Teach harp in all degree and diploma programs, including freshmen through doctoral levels; possible teaching of harp pedagogy and/or involvement in harp ensemble, depending on interest and qualifications of the candidate. Participation in department service, recruitment activities, and school‐wide committees, is expected.

Basic Qualifications

Successful national/international performing and teaching experience at the very highest levels of the profession. Master’s degree required, doctorate preferred; commensurate professional experience will be given equal consideration.

Salary and Rank Commensurate with qualifications and experience. The committee seeks to recommend a candidate whose qualifications justify appointment at the level of associate or full professor.
