Position Summary

Full-Time Faculty Position at Indiana University

The Indiana University Department of Occupational Therapy located on the Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI)) campus invites candidates for a tenure-track faculty position for the 2017-2018 academic year. This is e full-time, 10-month appointments.

Requirements: a doctoral degree in occupational therapy, rehabilitation sciences, neuroscience, psychology, education, or a related field. Applicants with post-doctoral training are preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities: to teach in his/her area of expertise in the current entry-level and/or post-professional program, develop and maintain an active scholarship agenda, pursue extramural funding, and engage in professional and university service.

The Department of Occupational Therapy is within the School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences at Indiana University. The Department will launch a new entry-level occupational therapy doctorate program in 2018. The school has partnerships with Indiana University Health, Melvin and Bren Simon Cancer Center, Rehabilitation Hospital of Indiana, Roudebush VA Medical Center, Eskenazi Health Hospital, and Indiana University Health Neuroscience Center. The campus is located in the vibrant downtown of Indianapolis, Indiana. Indianapolis is known as one of the country’s ‘most affordable cities’ and home to major sporting teams and the nation’s largest children’s museum.

Basic Qualifications

An earned academic doctorate degree, eligibility for licensure as an occupational therapist in the state of Indiana, a record of success in research, teaching, and service.

Applicants with post-doctoral research training are preferred.
